10 DUMB WWE Signings (We Didn't Want To Admit Were GENIUS!)

2. Nia Jax (2023)

Nia's first stint in WWE conjures up images of Becky Lynch getting bloody, a few other injured female wrestlers and Jax yelling, "MY HOLE!" for a laugh. When she wasn't creating meme content, Nia was boring everyone to tears in a tag-team with Shayna Baszler. How did she go from that to 2024's brilliance?!

There were a few stunned looks when news spread that WWE planned to rehire Jax in late-2023. She'd made a quick cameo in the women's Royal Rumble in January, but wouldn't return full-time until September. Pretty much everyone expected more Nia-led misery to follow. Triple H knew exactly what he was doing though.

Jax 2.0 is much better than her original run suggested. She's been fabulous.

You've got to give credit where it's due. Nia's matches have been above average at worst and excellent at best. Further, her character work has been a vast improvement overall too. Everyone, including this writer, has to admit that they were wrong to roll their eyes when she was re-signed.
