10 Dumbest Things That Happened At WrestleMania 31

1. nWo Aids Sting Against D-Generation X

One of the most memorable moments of WrestleMania was the stand-off between D-Generation X and nWo, as the two greatest factions of the nineties finally met face-to-face. The two stables, representing WWE and WCW respectively, helped push wrestling into the mainstream during the Monday Night Wars, and seeing them come together at WrestleMania was a dream come true, even if didn€™t make any sense whatsoever. After DX interfered to help Triple H, the nWo ran out to aid Sting, contradicting everything that happened in WCW with regards to all characters involved. The formation of the nWo is what led Sting to transition from the surfer to the Crow, and he spent eighteen months systematically hunting them down and tearing them apart in his quest to get to Hogan. It€™s one of the worst examples of WWE€™s incredibly limited and contradictory history of WCW, which is flat-out insulting to the people that lived through that era and watched it unfold. There were dozens of people that would have made more sense to aid Sting, including Diamond Dallas Page, Booker T and Goldberg, but WWE likely doesn€™t think that would make a €œWrestleMania Moment€ so instead they rewrite the history of WCW to get the nWo onto the event.
