10 Dumbest WWE PPV Names Ever
6. Roadblock: End Of The Line
Roadblock is distinguished as a rare PPV to have two iterations in the same year (other than No Mercy, which had a UK exclusive and regular PPV in 1999), with the inaugural Roadblock airing in March 2016, before the follow-up took place the very same December.
It's telling that Roadblock: End of the Line basically sounds like a desperate, straight-to-video sequel, because that's pretty much exactly what it was. Considering that the Roadblock title is meant to refer to a hurdle on the Road to WrestleMania, calling it the end of the line doesn't really make any sense.
On the odd occasion someone actually name drops the PPV on-air now, it musters an instant wince, and hopefully in future WWE will simply relegate it to being a merely annual PPV without a silly sub-title.
