10 Early Contenders To Win WWE Money In The Bank 2017

9. Big E

His last singles run didn’t exactly go to plan, but WWE have reportedly had Big E marked for a major push for a while. A lame Intercontinental Champion, E held the belt at a time when it was no more than a lower-midcard afterthought, and he was rarely booked with the respect he was given in NXT. The last few years have all but swept those memories away, however, and he has since become one of WWE’s most popular acts as part of The New Day.

The group has given Big E increased freedom in his performances, and allowed him to finally develop a strong personality. His charisma has blossomed though The New Day’s antics, and while he usually operates as the trio’s workhorse in big tag matches, another solo run is definitely worth trying.

If E moves into the singles division, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods can hold it down as a team. The fact that WWE haven’t pushed any of The New Day as singles wrestlers since their formation suggests that a MITB victory probably isn’t on the cards, but if WWE are serious about turning Big E into a superstar, it’d be a great launchpad.
