It's been over a year since Liv Morgan won her first and only Women's Championship but, after a poor and largely forgettable reign, the 29-year-old has been the focus of the very scarce women's tag division along with her tag partner and fellow entry in this list Raquel Rodriguez. While it has been refreshing to have an actual team that shows some semblance of chemistry in the division, it's using up two future singles stars and it's time to propel them both up to the World title picture.
Liv is currently out injured, which has been the story of her career over the past year, but this can work to her advantage. In storyline terms, Rhea Ripley injured Liv Morgan in the build to her eventual match with Raquel Rodriguez. This sets up a Liv Morgan return whenever she is cleared.
If Morgan is cleared from her legitimate shoulder injury soon, then she can be re-established as a singles star and pick up some much needed solo wins before the Rumble or, if the injury is a longer stint on the sidelines, then Liv can make her comeback in the Rumble match itself to punch her ticket to WrestleMania.
Can Liv Morgan credibly beat Rhea Ripley for the Women's World Championship? It's doubtful. However, giving Liv a big career defining moment like a Royal Rumble victory will cement her as a major player in the division - one that, at the vanilla age of 29, can be the future for many years to come.
