10 Early Wrestler Finishers You Totally Forgot About
8. The Miz - Mizard Of Oz
The Skull-Crushing Finale has proven itself a sensible finisher for The Miz, who has never - and will never - be the flashiest, most dazzling professional wrestler in the world. Its description (a full nelson legsweep facebuster) sounds complex, but it isn't, demanding only straightforward execution from the person hitting the move as they send their opponents into the mat.
Miz made the Skull-Crushing Finale his go-to in 2009. Prior to this, he experimented with different finishers, including the Reality Check - a running knee lift into a neckbreaker with a name harking back to his background on The Real World.
Go back further down the yellow-bricked road of Miz's past, however, and you'll find the Mizard Of Oz. A suboptimal version of Reno's Roll the Dice spinning neckbreaker, it perhaps wasn't the wisest choice for a rookie wrestler still learning his craft, who couldn't yet hit the move with the same pop and snap as the ex-WCW man.
