10 Early WWE Hall Of Fame 2018 Predictions

6. The Midnight Express

Given that their career-long rivals the Rock 'N' Roll Express were inducted this year, it seems inevitable that WWE will induct the Midnights in 2018.

The Rock 'N' Roll Express are credited with perfecting the timeless southern tag formula, with Ricky Morton's authentic, flailing selling used to drive the searing drama in their classic and epic series of matches. But lost in that praise is the awesome and vicious heel work of Dennis Condrey and Bobby Eaton. For fans to take Morton's selling and Robert Gibson's comebacks seriously, the damage needed to look genuine. Condrey and Eaton were totally believable in their roles. Their manager Jim Cornette wasn't lying at this year's ceremony when he gushed about how many tickets the act sold. It was an inter-territory sensation.

Several incarnations of the act used the Midnight Express moniker, but Condrey and Eaton drew the most money and the most acclaim - and to create the requisite synergy between the two Classes, it seems obvious WWE would go that route.

As to their inductors, the honour surely must go to Cornette once more. The man can cut promos for days; it's not as if he's ran out of material.
