10 ECW Flops In WWE That Should Have Been Huge
9. Kid Kash
A fine midcard act in ECW (and later TNA), Kid Kash was never able to transcend preliminary status in WWE. He held the old Cruiserweight Championship during the division’s dying days, but had it for little over a month before losing to Gregory Helms. Afterwards, Kash formed the forgettable Pit Bulls tag team with Jamie Noble, though they were unsuccessful in their quest for tag gold, and he was released from his contract just 15 months after signing.
Kash’s downfall wasn’t entirely down to misuse, however. He was already 36 years old by the time he signed for WWE, and attitude problems led to him running foul of many of his peers, including Vince McMahon, which ultimately led to his release.
Kash could definitely have played a bigger role if not for these issues, however. He was a regular midcard highlight in ECW, where he was a World Television Champion, and TNA, where he helped put the X Division on the map with the likes of AJ Styles and Jerry Lynn. His rough and tumble wrestling style always helped him stand out as a worker too, but he couldn’t forge an identity in WWE, and drifted towards obscurity after his release.
