3. Diss The Diva
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nf0OcAfZT8M On one hand, this was incredibly entertaining. On the other hand, it was a trainwreck. 2004 was the year of WWE's first "Diva Search" competition where a number of models were cast to go through odd challenges. Whoever got the least fan votes each week was eliminated. One week just over 10 years ago as of this writing, the challenge was "Diss the Diva." The contestants trash talked each other with a set time limit and it went really far really fast. Specifically, everyone wanted to make it really clear how much they hated reigning Playboy Playmate of the Year/apparent front-runner Carmella DeCesare. The highlights included: "You've got a gap so wide you could drive a truck right through there, baby." "Whore, you don't have any respect for the WWE. You don't know s**t about wrestling. Having a c**k in your mouth has nothing to do with wrestling...biotch." "And, Carmella, you're a c*m-sucking gutter-slut." WWE and/or USA tried to bleep a lot of what was said. They largely failed. As fun as it was to watch, it felt like it set the wrestling business back decades.
