10 Epic WWE TV Matches That Could Have Been On PPV
9. The Steiner Brothers Vs. Bret & Owen Hart - WrestleFest '94
When you talk about the greatest brother duos in pro wrestling history, certain names spring to mind: the likes of The Funks, The Briscoes and the Von Erichs. Two names that have to be part of that list are The Steiners and The Harts.
While the Harts would make names for themselves predominantly on a singles basis, the short-term partnership between Owen and Bret in late '93/early '94 was a dream scenario for many fans. The union was done primarily to build towards the implosion at WrestleMania X. However, that didn't stop them from having some great tag bouts beforehand.
One such match was their collision with The Steiner Brothers. The match was taped as a Coliseum Home Video exclusive for use on the WrestleFest '94 VHS. The tape itself was a pretty stacked card, featuring the likes of Bret/Diesel, Razor/Michaels for the IC, and Yokozuna vs Mr Perfect for the WWF Title. Despite this array of excellent matches, the Steiners/Harts bout is undoubtedly the crown jewel of the video.
A rare face vs. face match-up, both teams were beloved fan favourites at the time and let loose in a great display of wrestling skill. The booking itself makes it a total dream match for long-time wrestling fans and even includes a rare appearance of the always insane Steiner Screwdriver.
