10 Essential AEW Matches For New Fans

2. The Young Bucks Vs The Lucha Bros - All Out 2021

Mesmerising and death-defying, the most recent Young Bucks/Lucha Bros lungburster brought all four even closer to kicking the bucket than a prior encounter that literally had the word in the promotional copy. "Escalera De La Muerte" sub-headed their outstanding All Out 2019 ladder match, but two years later the quartet escalated everything.

More a game of competitive abuse than it was a steel cage title fight, the sibling duos found a peak so early that the match became more incredible by the minute as a result. With creativity overflowing along with the claret as a thumbtacked shoe ripped and tore away at Penta El 0 M's mask, all worries that the teams couldn't work in this new environment frittered away like The Young Bucks' glorious title reign.

Better out of context than in, Penta and Fenix didn't really feel like the right guys to end it during the build, but the sheer psychotic quality of the match (and, in turn, their irresistible chemistry with the outgoing Champions served as a reminder as why they were inch-perfect candidates for this spot the entire time.
