It's difficult not to expect match of the night status from a Briscoes, SCU, and Young Bucks three-way, but this?

This was brilliant.

In what was the swansong of SCU and the Young Bucks in Ring Of Honor, the three duos went to war in a simultaneously gorgeous and gory Ladder War that concluded with Jay and Mark Briscoe becoming ten-time ROH World Tag Team Champions.

The Briscoes re-established themselves as one of wrestling's greatest two-man squads on this night. In an era when tag team wrestling was absurdly great, they maintained an old-school demeanour, battering the opposition. Their lunatic wrestling style erupted as this match progressed; what began with the brothers leaving the ring to SCU and the Bucks quickly changed when they re-entered proceedings, swinging fists, chairs, and staple guns.

So determined was he to regain the gold for a tenth time, Jay Briscoe risked it all at one stage, begging Matt Jackson to smack him with a sledgehammer. A big, lumbering f**ker of a hammer, too - not one of these crap ones Triple H saunters about with. He ate a Superkick instead, but the essence in which he cared more about the titles spoke volumes as he knelt in front of the Jackson brother, blood again pouring down his face.
