Why They Left WWE: The then-Revival lads had wanted to leave WWE for a while.

They'd initially asked for their releases in January 2019, but had been denied. Finally, Vinnie Mac relented and let the team out in April 2020. Both members expressed their relief in interviews, and the pair looked forward to an exciting future that seemed certain in AEW.

The Moment: FTR's early months in All Elite were obviously promising, but one match justified their decision to stand firm and force a WWE exit; the re-dubbed Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood toppled Kenny Omega and Hangman Page in a classic at All Out 2020.

The bout was a masterclass in tag-team wrestling, and it was the kind of epic that the ex-Revival had daydreamed about during their stint in WWE. It was more in-tune with their NXT work, scratched a built-in need to show just how great tag wrasslin' can be, and it was clear that FTR were elated as they held those AEW tag belts above their heads.
