Think about how many industry-changing matches Bret Hart was involved in.

His SummerSlam '91 classic with Mr. Perfect inspired dozens of future WWE superstars to want to become a wrestler. The following year, Bret elevated the Intercontinental Championship to the main event by defending it in one of the greatest matches ever at SummerSlam '92 in front of 80,000 screaming fans.

Prior to losing the IC strap at Wembley, Bret introduced the Ladder Match to WWF fans by taking on Shawn Michaels in a match filmed for Coliseum Video. Bret would later be involved in a match many thought would never be seen on WWE television, a 60-minute Iron Man Match with Michaels for the WWF Title at WrestleMania XII.

Perhaps the greatest and most important match in WWE history was the brainchild of Bret Hart when he crafted a masterpiece for the semi-main event of WrestleMania 13, a Submission Match against Stone Cold Steve Austin. And finally, later that year, Bret was the centrepiece of the most controversial match ever at Survivor Series '97, scene of the infamous Montreal Screwjob.

When it comes to influential matches, few wrestlers have that type of legacy and that type of impact. Speaking of having an influence...
