10 Expectations Vs. Reality For WWE Backlash 2020

6. Braun Strowman Vs. The Miz & John Morrison

Backlash Expectation Reality

Expectation:

An at-best mildly entertaining comedy match that doesn't remotely feel worthy of its World Title stakes. Maybe the Miz sells out John Morrison by doing an immediate runner, and John Morrison gets his own back by throwing Miz into the way of the Strowman Express or whatever that unintentionally funny waddle that's going to shave five years off his career is called. The Miz can be good banter, and it's broad as hell, this, but they might, if nothing else, get a meme out of Strowman smudging his face up against the plexiglass. 2020 got me like!, that sort of thing. Or tfw when your feral kids are literally driving you up the f*cking wall during lockdown.

Reality:

It's going to be absolutely sh*te, isn't it? Come on. Nobody can possibly think this is any good. Except you maybe.

"Enjoying comedy for five year-olds to own the AEW marks!"

It is sh*te. Miz and Morrison are f*cking pranking Strowman on SmackDown. This is a World Title programme penned by Bruce Prichard partying like it's 1995, and gauging by the Nickelodeon-level comedy, it's not going to get any funnier on the night. Maybe Strowman is going to clunk their heads together while Vince McMahon guffaws in the care home he calls a billion dollar professional wrestling TV show.
