10 Expectations Vs. Reality For WWE Royal Rumble 2020
7. Who ELSE Might Eliminate Brock Lesnar?
Expectation:
OK, so it isn't Aleister Black. He is clearly very well-liked by WWE management - his push has lasted longer than three weeks - but it's still early in his main roster run. His ability is so vast that, by the last five minutes of his cracking series with Buddy Murphy, he draws the crowd roaring into the thrust of the story. He still isn't fully over, though, which accounts for the tepid, tentative atmosphere in the beginning.
Perhaps Drew McIntyre is the guy. He's cast in the shredded, tall, handsome WWE mould, his 3-2-1 gimmick and new, cut-loose promo delivery must have alerted Vince's such-good-sh*t sensors, and reports have circled since his debut of WWE's grand plans to make him a huge star. Per a report from Fightful, WrestleMania plans are "wide open in many regards," with several among the roster under the belief that WWE will go with who is "hot" instead of repeating mistakes from the dreaded anybody-but-Roman years. Drew's personality is getting over - the crowd were hot for his opening segment on RAW this week - and he is tall. This always helps.
Reality:
Nope. It's gotta be, it's gotta be Cain!
