10 Expectations Vs. Reality For WWE SummerSlam 2020

6. The Street Profits Vs. Andrade & Angel Garza

Expectation:

An intense climax to a high-stakes blood feud!

After all, Zelina Vega poisoned Montez Ford to the point of critical condition. Or mild inconvenience, since he was still allowed to wrestle. The Street Profits should be out for blood. This - because every dramatic principle demands it - should be a war.

Reality:

It will start with a collar-and-elbow tie-up, some solid but forgettable wrestling will happen in the middle, and the finish, gauging by WWE's modern standard, will see Bianca Belair attack Zelina Vega on the outside, leading to a disqualification. If that's what Vince McMahon believes warrants a DQ. Literally, who the hell knows? Vince himself doesn't. Or perhaps Garza will spike Ford with a poison 'rana - long-term storytelling, guys! - Ford will melodramatically sell a badly injured neck, and WWE's medical staff will allow him to continue.

The old tagline was "Anything can happen in the World Wrestling Federation!"

This was meant to convey the idea that all sorts of exciting storyline developments may unfold. Now it means "Anything can happen in WWE, because the mad old f*cker with the pen has completely lost the plot!"
