10 Expectations Vs. Reality For WWE WrestleMania 38

6. How Good Will Logan Paul Be?

Steve Austin Expectation Reality

Expectation:

He isn't a pro wrestler, so he probably won't be particularly good at pro wrestling. Besides which, he's in there with Dominick Mysterio, who's hardly a plane-hopping NWA World Champion carry-job specialist from the territory era. He's closer to the broomstick, if anything. Rey Mysterio remains incredible at his craft, not that WWE recognises this by booking him in nothing nine-minute RAW matches, so the omens aren't great for that interaction either. The Miz Vs. Dominick Mysterio meanwhile has as much chance of creating a 'WrestleMania Moment' in 2022 as Disco Inferno does. This is going to be actively horrendous.

Reality:

The reality is that celebrities almost invariably perform well on the Grandest Stage because WWE actually gives a sh*t about protecting and impressing them. It would embarrass WWE under the watchful eye of the mainstream media if they didn't. Measures are taken to ensure the success of this sort of thing, and moreover, despite being a d*ckhead of a human being, Logan Paul is no slouch as an athlete. WWE being WWE are too thick to just let the f*cking guy cut a heel promo on TV, which he'd be incredible at, but they will get it right on the night.
