Here's an example of the crazy hoops wrestlers are expected to jump through if they want to avoid backstage heat.

In 2018, Mansoor impressed WWE officials at a tryout before the Greatest Royal Rumble and jetted in to work some NXT house shows. In the locker room, future tag partner Mace pulled him aside and told the newbie he didn’t need to shake everyone’s hands when arriving at the building. That was bad advice.

Mace's lecture came back to bite Mansoor come Super ShowDown 2019 back in Saudi Arabia. There, it was Mustafa Ali who had a quiet word with his future pal and warned him he had heat because he’d ignored everybody in the locker room all day and hadn't been shaking hands - Ali also pointed out that Mansoor had to be thankful he was winning a 50-man Battle Royal (turned out to be 51!) and show appreciation to the rest of the roster

Mansoor told this story to Instinct Culture, and admitted he didn't really know which way to turn. Everybody was giving him different advice. The poor lad heaped pressure on himself and annoyed a few on the roster by...doing as he'd been told to do early on. Go figure.
