6. He Was Born In Spain

If you’ve ever heard Kane speak for any longer than a couple of seconds, his roots should be immediately apparent. Kane’s accent is as American as it gets, but despite growing up in St. Louis, Missouri, the Big Red Machine wasn’t actually born in the United States.

Instead, Kane was born in the small Spanish town of Torrejon de Ardoz, which is situated roughly 25 minutes from Madrid. Why? Because his family was stationed at a nearby United States Air Force Base at the time.

The nature of a US Air Force career means that families are often moved around the world to accommodate the employee's job demands, and American citizens can find themselves travelling the globe as their loved one serves his/her country on foreign soil.

The specifics are unclear, but it doesn’t sound like Kane spent a great deal of time in Spain. His family returned to America so that Kane could begin his education in his true homeland, and his school career went uninterrupted by travelling. Though he was born to American parents, Kane’s Spanish background adds an interesting layer to his history.
