Certain moments from certain WrestleManias had been pre-taped over the years per their needs, but the point was never to specifically expose that. But like everything in 2020, the rules had to change.

Between March 21st and March 26th, WWE were given special dispensation to the get the entirety of the show in the can. This included everything from the main matches split into groups as small as possible, the outdoor shoots for the Boneyard and Firefly Fun House matches, and any matches, promos or angles that required the backstage area for carefully-planned filming.

The biggest task after getting everything done and dusted in the tight timeframe was ensuring that spoilers didn't get out, and miraculously, they didn't. Clearly keen to preserve what little enjoyment fans were able to gleam from the show, wrestlers, producers, management and staff all kept schtum, resulting in both nights going ahead without any of the details getting out first.
