WrestleMania 2!

In a remarkable show of discipline (and/or the stipulation being made somewhat redundant by Hell In A Cell from 1997 onwards), Braun Strowman and Shane McMahon contested only the second steel cage match in WrestleMania history in 2021, following Hulk Hogan and King Kong Bundy's 1986 headliner.

Back then, the big blue bars kept the WWE Champion and his dangerous challenger in the ring, but 29 years had done much to shift the narrative purpose of the structure when 'The Money' and 'The Monster Of All Monsters'' entered the fray.

After weeks of tormenting Braun in some truly bizarre and breathy verbal segments, McMahon was as good as trapped unless he could make his escape for the win. And when he did, it resulted in one of the two good spots of the match when Strowman smashed through the mesh to bring him back in by his nepobaby neck. And from the top, McMahon flew down hard into the ring, earning a crumb of kudos for the bump despite a wretched, time and life-sapping build.
