By 2021, Roman Reigns was no stranger to main eventing the 'Show Of Shows', but WrestleMania 37 was going to be different - and not just because the boos he experienced this time around were actually by design.

Resisting Reigns' headline offerings against Triple H, The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar at WrestleManias 32, 33 and 34 respectively is just a sad waste of time as we approach a decade since the beginning of the babyface Roman mega push. A toxic wasteland of reactions directed more at Vince McMahon's broken system than at 'The Big Dog' himself, the very idea of how wrestling's fiction functions gets lost with the wrestlers themselves sent out there to suffer the consequences.

In two of those cases too, Roman was a challenger for a top title. This made matters worse, and was yet another benefit of 'The Tribal Chief' persona making its WrestleMania bow. Reigns went into the show as Champion for the very first time, was a heel designed to be hated, and the main event not coincidentally ended up as one of the best triple threat matches in WWE history.
