Chyna had the presence and physique needed to make her matching up with male wrestlers at least somewhat plausible. Fans of the time definitely got a kick out of watching her bash some cloddish male with a forearm strike. With that kind of popularity going for her, it was no surprise that Chyna would eventually take part in a Royal Rumble match.

Chyna's appearance in the 1999 Rumble bout marked the first of four instances in which a woman competed in the match. Chyna would do so again one year later, during her rivalry with Chris Jericho. Ten years would pass before another female, Beth Phoenix in 2010, entered into a Rumble. Two years later, Kharma would follow suit.
