The crowd in Boston was awful happy to see "Big Daddy Cool" emerge once more, even a 51-year-old version of him. His sub-three minute appearance in the match didn't satiate that crowd, who were hoping to see a little bit more of the former WWE Champion.

As a result of the crowd's displeasure, WWE apparently called an audible, in the form of outside official Charles Robinson reportedly giving an instruction to Nash. With Big Show entering the match momentarily (the two men have considerable history), Nash was told to share a somewhat-tense staredown as they passed each other in the aisleway.

Though nothing would ever come of the former nWo-mates glancing into each other's eyes, the hope was that the promise of a confrontation would give fans (the ones annoyed by Diesel's elimination) something to chew on.
