Whether you know it as the CoreStates Center, the First Union Center or the Wachovia Center, the current-day Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is one that has a history with WWE that goes back way before the 2018 Royal Rumble.

While that locale did indeed house the '18 Rumble PPV - not to mention the previous night's NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia - that Royal Rumble event was the tenth WWE PPV to have emanated from the 20,000-capacity venue.

In a relationship dating back to 1996, the following WWE events have taken place from Wells Fargo.

- 1996: In Your House: Mind Games

- 1999: WrestleMania XV

- 2000: Unforgiven

- 2004: Royal Rumble

- 2006: Survivor Series

- 2009: Night of Champions

- 2013: Money in the Bank

- 2015: Royal Rumble

- 2017: Battleground

As mentioned, the 2018 Royal Rumble PPV is the tenth major WWE event to take place at the Wells Fargo Center, and the venue has since been used for two further WWE PPVs - Extreme Rules 2019 and Elimination Chamber 2020.

Where Elimination Chamber 2020 is concerned, that currently stands as the last time that fans were allowed to be in attendance for a WWE PPV.
