The Macho Man Randy Savage-Ultimate Warrior WWE Championship match at SummerSlam 1992 was a more-than-good enough sequel to their WrestleMania 7 match, lacking only a concrete finish. Savage was counted out following a run-in from Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect, ending what was a tremendous match without a clear victor.

The storyline for the match saw Perfect claim that he was "in the corner" of one of the two men, but wouldn't say who. This bred paranoia in both babyfaces, the idea that the other one was on the take. Neither ended up turning when all was said and done.

WWE was planning on turning Warrior heel, with Perfect's involvement steering the face-painted heavyweight in that direction. However, Warrior turned the idea down flat, and remained a babyface until his firing that November.
