According to Chris Jericho, it was Vince McMahon's idea for Cena to be the sole survivor of the seven-on-seven match, even as Jericho and others felt that Wade Barrett needed to go over in order to keep The Nexus strong. Justin Gabriel, for his part, claims that Cena himself had the finish changed to him winning.
