Yeah, the belt was uglier than a roadkill corsage, and Balor messed his shoulder up horribly. There was a whole lot that went wrong with what seemed like a slam dunk, a match between Tyler Black and Prince Devitt to determine the first ever WWE Universal Champion. Might've been one for the ages, if fans hadn't been so distracted by the hideous crimson monstrosity sitting on a stand at ringside.

Balor's win, amidst all the clutter, was the first time a wrestler had ever won a World Championship in their first ever WWE pay-per-view match. Balor had only been up from NXT for a month, the fifth overall pick in the WWE Draft. With the high pick came high hopes, and Balor seemed capable of coming through on those expectations before the injury derailed him.
