Chris Jericho's early run in WWE wasn't the most critically-acclaimed point in his storied career, and he knew it at the time. Despite the many little setbacks clogging his road to progress, Jericho remained motivated, looking to right his ship by putting on his best work possible.

The Intercontinental title match with Chyna at Survivor Series was an opportunity for him to carry a greener worker to something memorable. He met with Chyna and Triple H at WWE's Stamford training facility to work out the match. Chyna and Helmsley were still together at the time, and as the most experienced of the two, he tended to call the shots.

Jericho pitched many wild spots for the match, with Triple H (who Jericho notes had little patience for him back then) deciding on Chyna's half to nix most of them. The only notable spot that Triple H approved of was the finish, Chyna's top-rope Pedigree.
