Speaking of the future Ring of Honor champion, Rhodes got to make history in his own right. As WWE began stockpiling the offspring of wrestling legends (whether they were talented or not), it was inevitable that we'd see something like this happen at Survivor Series one day.

Cody's 2008 win came 19 years after father Dusty Rhodes survived at the 1989 show. This made them the first parent/offspring combination to have each survived an elimination match at the event. And unlike his father, Cody was spared a nightstick beating from one of the sore losers.

As of the 2016 show, the feat has been achieved on four occasions, including this one. The rest won't be spoiled because, well, those are facts for future lists.
