If Daniel Bryan were getting another kick at the WWE Championship can, would the numbers have been higher? Hard to say, since illegal streaming was taking its toll as it was, and the Survivor Series build-up was fairly disorganized and weak, with half the card not even announced six nights before the show.

Survivor Series 2013 did 179,000 buys, the lowest for the event since 1995 did a putrid 128,000 buys. Every other Survivor Series to that point did more buys than 2013, even other sub-200,000 years like 1993 and 1996.

The WWE Network was only three months away from launching, and measuring pay-per-view success would forever change with the advent of the new product. Nonetheless, faced with the option of buying the 2013 Survivor Series (or even stealing it through a virus-laden website), seems like much of the audience couldn't be bothered.
