Wade Barrett's WWE main roster tenure spanned more than six years, not counting time off due to his many unfortunate, poorly-timed injuries. Just when it would seem like Barrett was on the cusp of something greater, he would be forced out of action with a considerable ailment.

At the 2015 Survivor Series, Barrett wrestled in the main show five-on-five match, in what would be his final pay-per-view match with the company. By the time Barrett was part of the League of Nations shortly after the pay-per-view, he was largely kept out of action, acting usually as a cornerman for the group, up until his May 2016 release. There were rumors that medical issues made WWE skittish about using him in a physical capacity.

As a footnote, although Barrett did wrestle at the March 2016 version of Roadblock, let it be said that that was a Network exclusive, and not a pay-per-view.
