No one will deny that Ramon and Michaels pieced together one of the greatest and most influential matches in the annals of wrestling history, least of all Bob Holly, who was due to take part in a ten-man-tag following the Intercontinental ladder match.
Holly, though offering high praise for the match, claims that Ramon and Michaels intentionally ignored the referee when they were given their time cues. As a result, the match went longer than planned, and the ten-man was scrapped, costing Holly and others (including 123 Kid, Jeff Jarrett, and more) a piece of the WrestleMania spotlight.
According to Holly, when Ramon and Michaels each made it through the curtain, Randy Savage angrily lit into both for selfishly depriving others of their time, and screamed every curse word imaginable at them. Regarding Savage's outward rage, Holly said, "I thought he was going to jump on them."
