Referee Tim White had himself a pretty unique career in wrestling. Not only was the gruff-voiced White an official for nearly two decades, but he also worked as Andre the Giant's assistant, and owned a Rhode Island pub called The Friendly Tap (which appeared in a few remote WWE vignettes). The beloved White seemed like a WWE lifer, until a catastrophic injury changed everything.

At Judgment Day 2002, White took a bump off the apron during Chris Jericho and Triple H's Hell in a Cell match, sustaining a separated shoulder that would never properly heal. After nearly two years out of the ring, White finally came back at WrestleMania 20 to officiate Jericho's bout with Christian. Sadly, White apparently re-injured the shoulder rendering a count, and never donned the stripes again.
