10 Fascinating WWE WrestleMania 21 Facts

1. WrestleMania 21 Is The Only 'Mania Where Both World Titles Changed Hands

From WrestleManias 19 through 29 (and beginning again with 33), it was a mortal lock that WrestleMania would showcase two World Championship bouts, thanks to the brand split and the apparent need for two top dogs. WrestleMania is oftentimes a harbinger of newness (well, before the part-timer era, anyway), and title changes are often on the 'Mania menu.

That's why it's a bit surprising that WrestleMania 21 is the only 'Mania to date with two separate World Championships changing hands. Obviously, this doesn't count Triple H at 18 or Daniel Bryan at 30 winning two different physical belts in one match, but rather two different champions defending gold in two different bouts.

Cena and Batista's dual-ascendance in kicking off a new era was expected, and their wins over JBL and Triple H were all but assured. It's just amazing that no other WrestleMania can claim a similar changing of two guards.
