10 Fastest WWE Title Changes Ever
3. Ambrose Completes The Set
To the surprise of no-one, Dean Ambrose was the last of The Shield line-up to get his hands on the WWE Championship, and even when he did, the title reign that followed was largely disappointing.
If nothing else, it certainly began with a bang. The Lunatic Fringe first landed the belt at Money in the Bank 2016, where he ambushed an exhausted Seth Rollins, his fellow Hound of Justice, to cash in the briefcase he had won just an hour earlier.
This followed Rollins capturing his second world title with victory over Roman Reigns in the night's main event, a match that would have ended in favour of The Big Dog were it not for the referee foolishly deciding to take a nap during its climactic moment.
In that sense, it was poetic justice for The Architect. In another, it was a brilliant moment for the Shield's forgotten man, who had been playing bridesmaid to his two more marketable accomplices for the best part of three years. It's just a shame that the company showed so little faith in him in the months that followed.
