Dakota Kai first appeared in a WWE ring in 2015 under the name Evie, losing to the debuting Nia Jax. From there, she competed in the inaugural Mae Young Classic tournament, losing to Kairi Sane in the quarterfinals. As an official member of the NXT roster, Dakota competed regularly, establishing herself as a fan favorite. The popular superstar is known for her spunky attitude and crazy kicks. She also has a unique finisher, a rarity in today's wrestling world.

In January of 2019, Kai announced on her Twitter page that she sustained a torn ACL, and would be away from the ring for several months. She may be on the injured list at the moment, but that won't stop Dakota Kai from making a triumphant return to the ring better than ever, and with her eyes on championship gold.

Evan has been a wrestling fan since the age of seven, a time when children should not have been watching wrestling. That's right...the attitude era!! He loves talking about wrestling, writing about wrestling, and fantasizing about working for a wrestling company one day. Aside from that, he loves all things pop culture: movies, music, and TV. He also loves to read, travel (even though he doesn't do much of it), and explore new things about this crazy ass world.
