WWE: 8 Booking Ideas For Rob Van Dam's Return

After his lengthy run in TNA came to a close, it was announced by WWE in 2013 that Rob Van Dam was returning. "HURRAH!!!" cried the audience at the return of Mr Monday Night. We could only wait with bated breath for the new feuds and matches with quality opponents that we would see him go up against. And nine months later, we're still waiting. It's fair to say that WWE dropped the ball with this one, as RVD's first match back was the WWE Title Money In The Bank match, which it was fairly obvious he wasn't going to win. After that, he had a brief feud with Alberto Del Rio that served no real purpose, followed by another one with Dean Ambrose, the latter of which not even culminating on a PPV, but during the pre show. When you think of the considerable talent that Van Dam has, it seems like a hell of a waste. Rob Van Dam took some time off in October, but recently it was announced that he was scheduled to return on April 7th as part of the post-Wrestlemania episode of Raw. So here we will rack our brains to come up with feuds, ideas and storylines in the hope that he isn't squandered again. On with the speculating!

He's hung out with Robert Plant, he was at Nelson Mandela's birthday and he's swapped stories with prostitutes and crack addicts. He once performed at a Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras by accident. These days, he passes the time by writing about music, wrestling, games and other forms of nerdery. And he rarely drinks the blood of the innocent.
