10 Feuds That Made WWE

3. Hulk Hogan vs. Roddy Piper

When you're the top feud in the company as the "WrestleMania Era" gets underway, you deserve all the praise that comes your way. Hogan VS Piper was too big for the pre-WrestleMania years, causing Vince McMahon to create a special event just for them. Throw in Mr. T, who was one of the biggest names in all of Hollywood at the time, and you have the recipe for success. At the time, Piper had a strong case for being the most hated man in all of America, period, and not just in the wrestling business. He knew exactly what to do to make people despise him, and he was great at pushing people's buttons. Hogan, of course, was in the very, very early stages of his world domination, and was as perfect a "good guy" as you could get. The continuation of their feud years later, this time in WCW, was a second-rate rehashing, but luckily, that doesn't count here. It's a little surprising that Piper never got to hold the WWF Title. That would have taken their feud to a new level, with Piper going to dastardly levels to win the title, and Hogan having to dig deep down to get it back. Something like that really could have taken this feud even higher on the list, but as it is, this is a great spot.
