10 Finishing Moves That Never Made It To WWE

9. Jerry Lynn - Cradle Piledriver

Having been one of ECW's most popular performers throughout the late 90's and finishing his run with the company as World Champion, much was expected of the "New F'n Show" Jerry Lynn's advent in the WWF in 2001. However, it quickly became apparent that Lynn had fallen victim to the prevailing heightism of the day.

Rather than receiving a main event push akin to that of his longtime ECW rival Rob Van Dam, Lynn had been unfavourably factored into the WWE’s failing Light Heavyweight division. To add to the disappointment, the ruthless looking cradle piledriver that he had used with much success in ECW had been replaced by a tame jumping tornado DDT.

After capturing and holding the disreputable Light Heavyweight title for a whopping 37 days, Lynn, much like his piledriver was quietly abandoned a mere 10 months later.

Today, the cradle piledriver survives as Minoru Suzuki's favoured deathblow in NJPW.
