9. Kane’s Falling Powerbomb

WWE has always had a love/hate relationship with piledrivers. In the early-2000s, Vince McMahon decreed that nobody other than The Undertaker was allowed to drop someone on their head, and that was only because 'Taker was trusted to do his Tombstone variant safely. So, where did that leave Kane?

He'd still use the Tombstone throughout his career, but 'Taker's kayfabe brother also tried on a brand new finisher: The falling powerbomb you see pictured above. That's Christian taking the plunge, for the record. This was similar to The Undertaker's 'Last Ride', but Kane would actually drive opponents into the mat and take a front bump himself.

It looked snazzy, but didn't last long.

Before long, Kane had returned to using the Tombstone and/or Chokeslam during his matches. If he did perform the falling powerbomb again, it was typically for a near fall or in tag-team matches with 'Taker. However, it was actually his main finish for a short while.
