10 Forgotten One Night Only WWE Returns
4. Marty Jannetty - Raw 2007/2009
As one half of The Rockers, Marty Jannetty shot to fame in the late '80s as a quality tag team practitioner and genuine in-ring talent. Sadly, he had a wealth of issues behind the scenes which saw his many runs with the company cut short, leading to an extended WWE absence from late '96.
However, 2005 saw the former WWF Tag Team and Intercontinental Champion make a stellar - albeit criminally brief - two-match return to the company. The first match saw a memorable Rockers reunion on Raw, while an impressive bout with Kurt Angle followed later that week, all in the aid of building up the HBK/Angle match at WrestleMania 21.
Despite his great performances and good crowd reaction, Jannetty was gone shortly after following a domestic incident. He made a short return in 2006, coming to the aid of Michales, but wouldn't return to WWE action until December 2007, when he squared off with Mr Kennedy.
Once again brought in to further an existing HBK feud, Jannetty was defeated in just 5 minutes. The former Rocker would return once more in 2009 against The Miz, who was intent on proving he wasn't the "Jannetty" of his team with John Morrison. Miz would defeat Jannetty in less than three minutes, bringing the veteran's WWE career to a close.
