9. Vs. Randy Savage - UK Rampage 1992
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgI4jUqR4Xo By 1992 Shawn was beginning to enjoy the rewards of making it as a singles competitor, and his talents weren't going unrecognised. It didn't take long for Shawn to receive championship opportunities, even getting his first WWE Championship match in April of that year. The match may have only taken place on a UK-only PPV, but it was an opportunity for Shawn to demonstrate that he had what it took to be a main event star. At the time, Randy Savage was at the height of his popularity, and Shawn could have easily been swallowed up by the fanfare and stardom surrounding the Macho Man. Similarly to the match with Flair, this contest was a lot more back-and-forth than perhaps many would have been expected. Shawn was given room to be aggressive and at points, in control of the match. Savage was known for his high-flying style, but still allowed Shawn to demonstrate his ability to fly around the ring as well. Although the two men rarely worked together before or after this match, they seemed to know how to get the best out of each other, and they both came out the other end all the better for it.
