10 Forgotten TNA Appearances By Ex-WWE Stars

2. Jake Roberts

Jake Roberts spent an awful lot of time on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean during some difficult mid-2000s years, often working in the United Kingdom after a lot of other work had seemingly dried up for him stateside. Luckily for the master of the DDT, TNA was an organisation permanently looking for familiar faces and his stood out more than most even after his prime.

They made the most of that in 2006, when Roberts agreed to referee a Monsters Ball match between Abyss, Raven, Brother Runt and Samoa Joe at that year's Bound For Glory supershow. Unfortunately, the segment that set it up didn't go well. Roberts drilled Runt with a DDT but didn't look in the best of form when he announced his role on the show.

He did at least turn up to perform his duties on the pay-per-view, nailing Raven with a DDT after the former ECW Champion struck him earlier in the bout. That was that for the business relationship between the two sides though, save for a cameo in 2008 when he was a guest at the doomed wedding of So Cal Val and Jay Lethal.

Speaking of which...
