WWE star admits: "This will p*** wrestling fans off, but I will tell you the truth".
WWE Raw GM Adam Pearce doesn't sit around checking out other pro wrestling products beyond Raw, SmackDown, NXT or general in-house PLEs. Pearce told Love Wrestling that he knows this "will p*** wrestling fans off", but he wants to "tell you the truth".
Ol' AP doesn't sit down with a bowl of Cheerios to watch Dynamite on a Wednesday, folks. Collision isn't appointment television for the guy either, and neither is anything from TNA, New Japan, ROH etc etc.
"If my fingerprints are not on the product, I do not watch the product - and people do not believe me when I say that, but I have not watched a second of wrestling outside of Raw or SmackDown or Saturday Night’s Main Event or a pay-per-view/PLE that I’m working on", he added.
When asked to elaborate on exactly why, Pearce said: "Because I am passionate and devoted to my company. I am a company man, corporate through and through. I know who signs my check, and I do as they say and collect my pay".
Fair enough.
Pearce has been with WWE since 2013, but he only started appearing regularly as an onscreen character during the pandemic in 2020. Since then, he (along with SmackDown counterpart Nick Aldis) has become one of the biggest authority figures in the industry. It's a gig that shows no signs of stopping anytime soon too.
So, there you have it. Adam isn't likely to check out Will Ospreay vs. Kenny Omega at AEW All In 2026 this weekend.
