10 Forgotten TNA Wrestlers You Totally Don't Remember
SURPRISE! You definitely won't remember a few WWE stars working for TNA.
TNA is right back at the forefront of the wrestling biz thanks to an agreement with WWE. That was a shrewd move from those in charge, especially after a one-sided alliance with AEW that barely benefitted the then-IMPACT Wrestling at all. One rebrand later, and TNA is doing business with Triple H, Shawn Michaels and NXT.
Those three letters aren't the laughing stock they once were.
If that sounds harsh, then you didn't live through the "LOL TNA" days. Total Non-Stop Action became the new WCW in that regard, at least for a while, and it was terribly unfair. Sure, the company produced some horrible stuff, but it was a fun alternative to WWE when it looked like Vince McMahon was about to become the only show in town.
TNA's most famous faces include AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, Sting, Jeff Jarrett, Samoa Joe, Gail Kim, Awesome Kong and many, many more. That's only scratching the surface. Dig deeper to find a vast number of ex-WWE/WCW/ECW workers and some roster members you don't even recognise.
They're the focal point here - those wrestlers nobody remembers from TNA's early days and the IMPACT Zone era.
10. A-1
A-1 might hold the record for longest time between TNA appearances.
He worked for the promotion between 2004-2007, then returned for a few matches in 2018. That 11 year gap was once something wrestling fans thought impossible. A few likely figured TNA would be out of business long before reaching 2018! Nah, the promotion plugged away as IMPACT before 2024's re-rebrand.
It's rarely brought up in conversation now, but Team Canada was an important faction during TNA's early years. It helped guys like Bobby Roode and Eric Young bed in on the roster. They weren't the hottest prospects in the group though. Not at first. That spot belonged to A-1, and hardly anyone remembers him.
A-1 was initially cast as an enforcer for Team Canada, but it didn't take long before bookers pushed him into the ring to see if he'd become the breakout star. It wasn't to be. A-1 toiled once TC split, then left TNA in February 2007. Wonder if anyone had a modern-day comeback on their bingo cards?!
