No matter how impressive his physique, Mason Ryan never deserved to be pushed as anything special in WWE. It was abundantly clear he had a run with the FCW Heavyweight Championship merely because of his immense size, and once Vince McMahon got a look at him, it was only inevitable that he would be welcomed onto the Raw roster.

Sure enough, he made his WWE debut in early 2011 as a member of The New Nexus. Even when he was surrounded by the talented likes of CM Punk, Joe Hennig and Husky Harris, he stuck out like a sore thumb, and his sub-par performances in the months that followed forced officials to change their opinion of him.

They tried him out as a babyface in the fall, but to no avail. He failed miserably in that role and was soon taken off TV all together. He was sent back down to developmental for a few years, but after showing zero signs of improvement either in the ring or on the mic, he was ultimately let go in the spring of 2014.
