10 Former WWE Midcarders Who Had Main Event Finishers
10. Val Venis (The Money Shot)
Aptly named The Money Shot (to coincide with his racy porn star gimmick), Val Venis finishing move was certainly a sight to behold. For a man of his size and muscularity to climb to the top turnbuckle and launch himself belly first onto an opponent as they lay helplessly on the apron below still has the ability to make you wince when you see it, while at the same time applauding its overt aggressiveness. A technical genius he was not, but moves such as The Money Shot and his variation of the Fishermans Suplex helped the Big Valbowski become an over member of the roster during the late 90s and early 2000s. He won many a match with his version of the Superfly Splash. Although many other wrestlers have used the top rope splash as a means to end their opponent, few had the physical attributes to make the move look both devastating and majestic. Beautiful but deadly, the Money Shot was a winner of a finisher. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgmiJxsUXfw Similar finishers used by more successful wrestlers: 5-Star Frog Splash (Rob Van Dam), Frog Splash (Eddie Guerrero)
