10 Former WWE NXT Wrestlers You Totally Don't Remember

6. Audrey Marie

NXT has been instrumental in refining some of WWE’s best women’s wrestlers. The Women’s Revolution would never have came about without the talent it has received from developmental, but as with every other division, there’s a couple of misses for each of the Performance Center’s hits.

Audrey Marie is one such competitor. She signed for WWE in 2011 and played a starring role in FCW, even holding the territory’s Divas Championship for a brief period of time. She won a feud with Paige prior to FCW’s rebranding as NXT but fell away shortly afterwards, before reinventing herself as Sasha Banks’ “secret admirer” in 2013. Banks won the feud, and after losing to Emma that May, Audrey was released from her contract.

Though never involved in the NXT Title scene, Marie featured regularly throughout her run, even though she was a clear step or two behind the division’s top competitors. Her heel work was always solid, but she couldn’t compete with the rising standard of women’s wrestling in WWE, and left the business altogether after wrestling a single independent match in 2014. Today, her only remaining affiliation to the sport comes through her marriage with Tyler Breeze.
